The Human Side of Fishery Improvement: FisheryProgress Introduces Social Policy (Webinar)

In recent years, investigations by NGOs and journalists have brought to light the urgent need to ensure human rights are protected in fisheries. In response, FisheryProgress has spent the past two years developing its Human Rights and Social Responsibility Policy for Fishery Improvement Projects (FIPs) reporting on the website, due to be released on May 12. During this webinar, FisheryProgress will be joined by Costco to discuss the policy’s rationale and requirements, how FisheryProgress will support FIPs to implement the policy, and how seafood buyers can use social information to contribute to their human rights due diligence efforts.
