As Administrative Assistant, Misty supports the overall operations, finance, and human resources functions within FishWise. Earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Cal Poly Pomona’s Collins College of Hospitality Management, Misty brings extensive event management and executive administrative insight to the FishWise team.

Misty’s passion in conservation and environmental sustainability began while working at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in the Human Resources division, where she was responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and supporting approximately 750 Volunteer Guides.

Since working in the environmental nonprofit sector for several years, Misty has focused on the environmental impacts of her own carbon footprint and the importance of protecting our earth’s natural resources, which led her to become the owner of small refillery to help reduce single-use plastic consumption within her community.
