Australis Aquaculture (partner since 2008) is an award-winning producer of Barramundi raised offshore in Central Vietnam, bringing innovative “Climate-Smart Ocean Farming” practices to the marine tropics. Founded in 2004, with the mission “Better Fish. Better World,” Australis spearheaded the introduction of Barramundi to meet food service and retail demand for a white fish with a clean taste, high nutritional value, and top sustainability credentials. In 2018, Australis launched the Greener Grazing project, which aims to develop the knowledge and tools to farm Asparagopsis taxiformis seaweed at scale, and integrate it with ocean-based fish farming.
