Kathleen Mullen-Ley, M.A.S.
As Project Director, Kathleen leads the FishWise major retailer partnerships with Target Corporation (1,700+ stores) and Hy-Vee, Inc. (240 stores). For each partnership, Kathleen works closely with the seafood procurement team and corporate social responsibility team to develop and implement ambitious, industry-leading sustainable seafood programs. Kathleen advises retailers on product sourcing, staff training programs, point-of-sale marketing materials, and policy and advocacy initiatives. Within FishWise, Kathleen also provides strategic communication support for FishWise’s global tuna conservation work. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies from U.C. Santa Cruz and a Master of Advanced Studies in marine biodiversity and conservation from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, with a focus on international tuna fisheries management. Prior to joining FishWise, Kathleen was a marine science educator in San Diego.
