Here Comes FishWise at the International Boston Seafood Show
The FishWise Team has been busy getting ready for the International Boston Seafood Show coming up on March 11 – 13, 2012. This year, Tobias Aguirre, Matthew Owens, Mariah Boyle, and William Wall will be attending this mecca of a seafood gathering in Boston, along with over 900 suppliers from 120 countries. This is a good opportunity to connect face-to-face with our partners and suppliers, and to learn about new seafood products, services, technology, and innovative programs!
The Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions, whose members include FishWise and 15 other conservation groups in the United States and Canada, will be having its annual reception on Saturday night before the first day of the event. This is a great opportunity for attendees to connect with leading companies and non-profits that work in the sustainable seafood industry, and to hear progress updates on the Alliance’s work in advancing sustainable seafood commitments. If you planning to go to the show and arrive early, please let us know if you’d like to join us.
Also, FishWise’s Managing Director, Matthew Owens, will be on a panel titled “Putting Your Money Where Your Mouth Is: Financing Positive Changes in the Seafood Industry on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 2pm in room 151B. He will be talking about our work with Santa Monica Seafood’s Responsible Sourcing Vendor Partnership (RSVP) Program and its success stories such as the conservation effort in Magdalena Bay, Mexico. Â Â If you are at the show, please do attend.
Finally, our social media reporter, William Wall, will be updating us live on twitter, so stay tuned!
