Through the FISH-i Africa and West Africa Task Forces, Stop Illegal Fishing is working to support the development of compliant and sustainable African fisheries. By fostering cooperation between coastal States, with information sharing and intelligence exchange, Stop Illegal Fishing is able to target anomalous behaviour, and better identify illegalities in the catching sector. Stop Illegal Fishing focuses on vessel identity fraud, document forgery, and at sea transhipment within the Task Forces and in its support to policy processes.
