Organization Description:

Prawn Farmers Federation of India (PFFI) is a national, farmer-led federation representing India’s shrimp and prawn farming community and advocating on issues of pricing, disease management, policy, and farm practices, primarily in coastal states.

Role in Indian Shrimp Aquaculture: PFFI launched CoSDIP in 2025, India's first farmer-led, science-supported disease investigation program, and incorporated the Shrimp Health Foundation in February 2026 to provide a formal institutional platform for its long-term growth.
