This briefing document on the need for a Global Record of fishing vessels and Unique Vessel Identifiers draws on the evidence EJF has gathered throughout its work towards the eradication of IUU fishing, and suggests next steps based on EJF and FishWise’s efforts engaging governments, international organizations, the seafood industry, and experts on IUU fishing.
