Global Implications of Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing

IUU fishing poses a threat to fishing activies and livelihoods, can jeopardize food security, benefits transnational crime, distorts markets, contributes to human trafficking, and undermines efforts to implement sustainable fisheries policies. This report addresses the current state of IUU fishing across the globe, and current efforts to counter IUU fishing.
