POST-HARVEST PRACTICES FOR EMPOWERING WOMEN IN SMALL-SCALE FISHERIES IN AFRICA

Food and Aquaculture Organization (FAO)
2022
Screenshot of Report Cover

Small-scale fisheries often lack the data to demonstrate their importance to the national economy and to advance food security. Most small-scale fisheries do not have documented learnings from past and current practices, or such information is not easily accessible.
This document aims to showcase successful outcomes from past and present initiatives in small-scale African post-harvest fisheries. Primarily, this document provides examples of successful uptake or replication of ideas, technology, practices, or services that have benefited or are benefiting women in post-harvest fisheries and could inform future initiatives.
