Proposed SIMP Voluntary Commerce Trusted Trader Program

NOAA Fisheries

In 2018, NOAA Fisheries proposed establishing a voluntary Commerce Trusted Trader Program for U.S. importers as a complement to the Seafood Import Monitoring Program. The proposed program is designed to maintain the effectiveness of SIMP in achieving its objectives while streamlining the reporting requirements for importers who commit to establishing internal traceability and auditing measures.
