This document refers to FAO tools like the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and the International Plan of Action to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate IUU Fishing (IPOA-IUU) as toolkits to improve fishing practices globally. Particularly, this document will suggest which tools to use in particular circumstances and provide guidance on how to use the tools effectively.
