Future of Fish is a nonprofit fishery transformation organization with a mission to end overfishing. It delivers innovative, scalable solutions that provide economic, environmental, and equitable impact in fishery communities. Working collaboratively with funders, fishing communities, supply chains and other stakeholders, Future of Fish designs strategic, systems-level interventions that unlock real change. Recent and current projects include: an investigation of government data modernization initiatives in fisheries around the world; an expanded fishery improvement project (“FIP+”) in Belize that incorporates elements of Future of Fish’s “Fishery Development Model” to support livelihoods, businesses, and the environment; and co-design engagements with four Chilean artisanal hake caletas.
