Partnership for African Fisheries (PAF) seeks to build knowledge within Africa of IUU. Through the Stop Illegal Fishing and Fish-i Africa projects, they facilitate communications to create awareness and advocacy for compliant fisheries. The impacts of these campaigns increase awareness and transparency, reduce corruption, and increase peer pressure among nation states and MCS practitioners, all of which encourage pan-African cooperation to combat IUU. To achieve its aim, PAF promotes a think-tank approach to encourage transparent and home-grown advice for the fisheries sector.
